Through its subsidiary Simplex, Nuvei continues to use its Visa Principal Membership and EMI license to allow partner companies to spend cryptocurrencies where Visa is accepted. Philip Fayer, president and CEO of Nuvei says the release of the cards is an important milestone for the company and its users. The Visa debit card is a huge asset to our partners and their users, allowing for immediate and seamless spending of crypto earnings. Fayer also pointed out that with the program, Visa plays a very important role in the growth of the crypto industry. He said this is "bridging the gap between traditional finance and crypto".
Nikola Plecas, Visa's Crypto Solutions Director for Europe, also expressed his enthusiasm for this new development. According to Plecas, awareness of cryptocurrencies has increased significantly among consumers across Europe, resulting in increased adoption as more people try to access cryptocurrencies. He expressed his joy to be part of the project as he deepened their company's relationship with Nuvei. Simplex CEO Nimrod Lehavi also said the Visa cards were tailor-made for the crypto space, while meeting global compliance standards.
